The Northumberland Hospice Care Centre

A new kind of comprehensive care at the end of life

Hospice Palliative Care is a philosophy and approach to care for people diagnosed with life-limiting illness and faced with the need for care at the end of life – physical, emotional, social and spiritual.

This six-bed centre on Ontario Street in Hamilton Township will provide palliative care 24 hours a day, seven days a week at no cost to clients. Led by Community Care Northumberland (CCN), this home for the County’s Palliative Care Team will offer a range of programs and services in wellness and support from this centre to serve the County of Northumberland.

The Hospice Care Centre will include:

  • › Children’s areas
  • › Rooms for complementary care services, bereavement support
