Working with the County of Northumberland and local municipalities, the Northumberland Transportation Initiative (NTI) goal is to offer rural transportation that is affordable, accessible and sustainable for all residents of Northumberland County.

Currently this service is operating in Cramahe & Alnwick/Haldimand Townships (Monday’s, Tuesday’s Thursday’s & Friday’s) and the Municipality of Trent Hills (Tuesday’s & Friday’s) between 8am-6pm.

Transportation is encouraged for all your needs whether it is employment, shopping, area events, schooling and social outings.

Individuals must be pre-registered to use this service and it does require at least 24 hours notice for booking rides.

FUNDING SUPPORT FROM: ODSP, CRAMAHE & ALNWICK/HALDIMAND TOWNSHIPS

Thanks to an $80,000 grant over one year to purchase a fully accessible van and contribute to the cost of a driver and a co-ordinator. Funding will allow service to expand from two to four days for community members of all abilities.
