Transportation


Community Care Northumberland provides a variety of volunteer and specialized transportation services for the community. These services are available for medical, social and/or recreational purposes.  We work with you to provide you with the most appropriate transportation at the best time and lowest cost, with fees generally assessed on a per kilometre basis or flat fee.

Volunteer Transportation
This service provides escorted transportation for medical appointments, shopping and to various social activities and programs. Local and long distance destinations are available. Volunteer drivers provide the transportation in their own vehicles.

We have several accessible vans located within Northumberland County and strive to provide accessible transportation in a way that respects the dignity and independence of people with disabilities.

Services Individuals living in the Municipality of Trent Hills  (Campbellford, Hastings and Warkworth)

Aging @ Home & Nissan Van
Services individuals living in Municipalities of Brighton* and Port Hope, Town of Cobourg, and the Townships of Alnwick/Haldimand, Cramahe and Hamilton.

The Municipality of Brighton residents can book accessible rides with Quinte Access, however they can request service from Community Care if other service providers are unable to accommodate their request.
